The City of Goodyear has released its proposed Sign Ordinance. WeMAR is in the process of reviewing this proposal for issues of Constitutionality and practicality.
Remember, while the sign ordinance might be challenged in court, the City will enforce it in the meantime. Therefore, we are also giving the City input regarding the practical day to day issues businesses and property owners might encounter.
The proposed Sign Ordinance is broken into two parts: The primary sign ordinance and a McDowell Business District overlay.
I would appreciate your comments by March 6, 2017. Include items you would change (and why), items you think need to be added (and why), items that are unclear or any other suggestions/changes you wish to make the City aware.
