The City of Surprise Planning and Zoning Commission is currently meeting regarding the proposed sign ordinance.
The scheduled meetings are:
July 20, 2017 – Billboards, Freeway Signs and Electronic Message Centers (EMCs)
August 3, 2017 – Temporary Signs
September 7, 2017 – Open Discussion and Summary of Revisions
This is your chance and your client’s chance to tell the Zoning and Planning Commission how important signs are to real estate, property owners and small business. Once changes are made at these meetings, then the amended ordinance will go before the City Council later this Fall.
I encourage you and your client’s to write letters to each of the Commissioners explaining the importance of signs, then attend the meeting. Even if you don’t wish to speak, showing support for property owners, business owners and the real estate industry is important.
