On August 9, 2018 WeMAR will host a morning Coffee with the Mayor of Avondale followed by lunch with Congresswoman Debbie Lesko.
The morning coffee with Mayor Kenn Weise will begin at 9:30am and end at 11am. There will be a meet & greet with the Mayor and Congresswoman Lesko between 11am and 11:30am.
Lunch will be served at 11:30am and Congresswoman Lesko will take the stage shortly thereafter, with the event ending at 1pm.
If you attend both events, you will qualify for 3 CE in Legal Issues.
Learn what is new since Mayor Weise visited us 2 years ago, the changes to Avondale and the Mayor’s future vision for his city.
Follow that up by learning what it is like to be elected mid-term as a U.S.Congresswoman, learn where your office is, where hearing rooms are, where the floor of the House is, read about issues being voted on, learn the rules and process of Congress, all while trying to find a place to live.
We will ask Congresswoman Lesko about the process of Congress, technology issues, endangered species, air rights and other personal property rights issues affecting all of us.
To attend we ask you register so there will be seats, AM snacks and lunch for everyone. You will need to register for both Coffee with the Mayor and Lunch with the Congresswoman.
