It is now confirmed, Nike purchased a 901,700-sf facility in Goodyear just south of Van Buren on 143rd Ave for $69,832,600.
The facility has 40-foot clear height and a 3,200-sf office space. It sits on almost 50 acres as part of the Airport Gateway at Goodyear project located in a foreign free trade zone.
The facility will be manufacturing the mid-sole cushioning portion of Nike shoes and will create an estimated 505 full time jobs by 2025 with salaries averaging $42,614/year.
Phase one will be about 500,000-sf, scheduled to be occupied by June 2020. It has been reported that Nike will receive about $2 million in incentives for job creation and a waiving or reimbursement of plan review and permit fees.
