The City of Glendale has a new COVID-19 assistance fund to help Glendale residential rental property owners whose tenants are unable to pay rent due to Covid-19.
The COVID-19 Landlord Assistance program is called POP, Property Owner Preservation Program. The Application process opens November 1st with a deadline of November 15th.
There is only a two-week timeline to submit applications, so property owners should go to the City of Glendale website now to download and gather all the information necessary now.
The program will grant up to $2,000/month for up to 6 months for a total of $12,000 per rental unit. Property Managers may also apply on behalf of their clients. Payments will be made directly to the property owner. The tenant must still reside in the property.
The City has established a preference point system as part of the lottery system to award assistance. Sole proprietor/Individual owners will receive 1 preference point and properties of 1-4 units will receive a preference point.
There are various forms to submit and a rent roll will be required. For more information go to the City of Glendale Property Owner Preservation Program page
