By my count there were 46 bills dropped having to do with water in 2022. Some of these bills are quite local in nature, such as HB 2055 which proposes an expansion in who may withdraw and transport from the Haquahala INA for its own use or use by the Arizona Water Banking Authority. Buckeye has registered concerns with HB 2055 and EPCOR has registered its support.
Several bills did not move forward and are now considered dead. But that doesn’t mean we won’t see some version of these bills in the future.
