In April 2019 HUD announced it was seeking public comment on Maximizing the positive impact of Opportunity Zones.
As members know, WeMAR has been active in providing information and resources members and their clients will find helpful when considering an Opportunity Zone investment.
WeMAR submitted its comments to HUD on June 9th. Members may wish to read WeMAR and other comments to HUD.
Public comments are due by June 17, 2019. If you or your client wish to make comments regarding this issue, you may read the information and submit comments to HUD on or before June 17th.
On May 9, 2019 HUD announced incentives for property owners who invest in Opportunity Zones, both new construction and rehabilitation of existing properties.
