The City of Surprise hosted a series of public meetings throughout March so interested parties could learn about and discuss the proposed City of Surprise sign ordinance.
Several WeMAR members and I attended one or more of the public meetings. The City staff was helpful in their explanations and listened attentively to residents and business owners.
WeMAR sent its response to the city today. There are several items of concern from a constitutional point of view and from a practical business point of view. The process will proceed and WeMAR will stay attuned to further meetings and updated information.
